Harold Shin

Harold Shin

“Now, all her life in these islands, actually, was more or less guided by her sad experience she had in Korea, when on two occasions she almost starved to death. That sort of left a mark and a scar in her. And when she came to Hawai‘i, she never did forget that experience. It was all work and trying to save her money. And foremost in her mind was, she didn’t want her own children to go through the unfortunate experience that she went through in Korea.” —Harold Shin
